therapies for the treatment

To evaluate new potential therapies for the treatment of RA, there are several models such as the one of RA induced by adjuvant in rats (AIA), the one induced by collagen in rats and mice (AIC), 31,32 AR induced by antigens: serum albumin bovine (BSA) methylated, zymosan, and genetically manipulated or spontaneous arthritis models.

The agents commonly used in the clinic (corticosteroids, methotrexate, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, cyclosporin A, leflunomide, interleukin-1 receptor antagonist [IL-1] and soluble TNF receptors) have revealed their efficacy in these models. For some of these agents, the models also predict toxicity at high therapeutic doses Flekosteel.
